LIGHT UP A LIFE FUND HAS BEEN CONCEPTUALISED BY LATHA ABIRUBEN. IT IS A FUND CREATED TO ASSIST DIFFERENTLY ABLED PERSONS PARTICULARLY WOMEN AND CHILDREN FOR EDUCATION AND OTHER NEEDS, INCLUDING INFRASTRUCTURE.
ON 17th APRIL, 2015 a scholarship to the tune of Rs 30,000 for continuing higher education was donated to Ms.Thangamari, of Royal College of Education for finishing her B.Ed programme under our “Light up a Life “ Project. She is an inmate of Thuimai Vizhigal Trust, a home for differently abled persons run by Mr.Velmurugan.

WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY -OCTOBER 10TH,2015
World Mental Health Day programme was organised on 10th October and SI Madurai sponsored 50 colouring books for the children of Able Kids Special School , who are affected by cerebral palsy . Refreshments were also sponsored by SI Madurai for the children and their parents . Various activities in the form of games were conducted for the children to motivate than and their parents . SI memebr, Dr.Janet made all the arrangements at Madurai Institute of Social Sciences,Madurai. The programme was attended by SI Madurai Members including Sabeena and Sharmila Siraj.
